A discussion program titled “The Role of Stakeholders in Reducing Violence Against Children” is successfully held today at Chakupat, Lalitpur as part of the global 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign.

The event was jointly organized by the Children as Zones of Peace National Campaign (CZOP), Voice of Children, and the Association of Community Radio Broadcasters Nepal (ACORAB), bringing together representatives from all seven provinces, including child rights advocates, social workers, government officials, media personnel, and community organizations.
During the session, participants emphasized the urgent need for strengthened coordination and action-based partnerships to reduce the growing incidents of violence against children. The discussions highlighted the vital role of government mechanisms, civil society organizations, media, and community-level stakeholders in ensuring protection, accountability, and prompt response systems.

Speakers stressed that addressing violence against children requires consistent national commitment, localized interventions, awareness campaigns, and stronger reporting and monitoring systems, especially in vulnerable communities.

The program concluded with a collective call to reinforce collaboration and advocacy efforts to create safer environments where every child grows free from fear, neglect, and abuse.
