61st National Children’s Day 2082 – Main Ceremony Committee Meeting Held today

Kathmandu, 4th September 2025 – In preparation for the grand celebration of the 61st National Children’s Day – 2082, scheduled to be observed nationwide on 29th Bhadra 2082, a meeting of the Main Ceremony Committee was successfully held today at the Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens.
The meeting was chaired by the Honourable Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens, Mr. Nawal Kishor Sah Sudi, who is also the chairperson of the Main Ceremony Committee for this year’s National Children’s Day celebration.
The meeting focused on planning and coordination for a successful and inclusive celebration across the country, reflecting the government’s strong commitment to child rights and welfare.

Representatives from various government and non-government organizations were present at the meeting. Notably, Chairperson of the Children as Zones of Peace(CZOP) National Campaign, Mr. Tilottam Paudel actively participated and contributed valuable insights towards the upcoming celebration.
The Ministry, in collaboration with the National Child Rights Council and others stakeholders, are working to ensure meaningful participation of children and stakeholders in the celebration, highlighting this year’s theme and promoting awareness of child rights and responsibilities nationwide.
