CZOP Calls for Stronger Education Financing During Global Action Week for Education 2026

Kathmandu, May 4, 2026

The National Campaign for Children as Zones of Peace (CZOP) participated in the Global Action Week for Education (GAWE) 2026, expressing solidarity with NCE Nepal, civil society organizations, youth groups, teachers, and other stakeholders across the country.The event was held on April 21, 2026, under the theme “Hold the Flame High: For Education Financing.” Participants highlighted the urgent need for stronger, fairer, and more transparent education financing in Nepal.

During the program, speakers stressed the importance of ensuring adequate investment in public education to make it inclusive, accessible, and of quality for all children. They emphasized that education is a fundamental right and should be available to everyone without discrimination.

Participants also called on the government and concerned authorities to prioritize education financing and strengthen policies that support equal learning opportunities for all.
