CZOP and SPCSN Submit Joint Suggestions on Amendment of Child Rights Act 2075

Kathmandu, May 5, 2026.The National Campaign for Children as Zones of Peace (CZOP) and the Social Protection Civil Society Network (SPCSN) have jointly submitted recommendations on the proposed amendment to the Child Rights Act, 2075.The Ministry of Women, Children, and Senior Citizens had earlier prepared a draft bill to amend the Act and issued a public notice on Baisakh 8, 2083, inviting suggestions from stakeholders within 14 days.

In response, CZOP and SPCSN organized consultations with member organizations and civil society groups to collect feedback and consolidate key recommendations.The final suggestions were submitted on Baisakh 21, 2082, to the Honorable Minister and Ministry Under-Secretary and spokesperson Chakra Bahadur Budha.
