Dissemination of Election Monitoring Findings on Child Rights and Policy Dialogue on Child Rights and Protection

April 25, 2026-Children as Zones of Peace (CZOP) National Campaign organized a program in Kathmandu to publicly release an election-focused monitoring report and discuss possible amendments to the Child Rights Act 2075. The event also included an interaction and a suggestion-collection session with various stakeholders concerned with child rights and protection.

The program brought together representatives from national networks, organizations working for sexual and gender minorities, groups active in the rights and welfare of intersex children, legal advocates, children, and representatives from child club networks. Participants shared their views, concerns, and recommendations on improving child-related laws and ensuring that the rights, protection, participation, and inclusion of all children are properly addressed in the amendment process.

The discussion emphasized the importance of making child-related laws more inclusive and responsive to current social realities, while strengthening coordination among stakeholders working on child rights in Nepal.
